MillsGuild YouTube Assistant Privacy Policy

MillsGuild LLC (“MillsGuild,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates MillsGuild YouTube Assistant, a private YouTube channel-management and content-automation application.

This Privacy Policy describes how MillsGuild YouTube Assistant accesses, uses, stores, shares, and deletes information obtained through Google and YouTube APIs.

1. YouTube API Services

MillsGuild YouTube Assistant uses YouTube API Services, including the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API.

By authorizing the application, you authorize it to access the Google and YouTube information permitted by the OAuth permissions presented to you during Google's authorization process.

MillsGuild YouTube Assistant does not request, collect, or store your Google or YouTube password.

2. Information We May Access

Depending on the permissions granted, MillsGuild YouTube Assistant may access information including:

  • YouTube channel identifiers and channel information

  • Video titles, descriptions, tags, IDs, and other video metadata

  • Videos associated with the authorized channel

  • Video publishing and scheduling information

  • Channel and video performance statistics

  • Views, watch time, engagement, audience-retention data, and other YouTube Analytics information made available through authorized APIs

  • Information necessary to identify the YouTube channel connected to the application

  • OAuth authorization tokens provided by Google

We only request permissions that are necessary to provide the application's current functionality.

3. How We Use Google and YouTube Data

Information obtained from Google or YouTube APIs may be used to:

  • Authenticate and connect an authorized YouTube channel

  • Retrieve channel and video information

  • Review video and channel performance

  • Assist with content planning and strategy

  • Determine which topics or content approaches are performing effectively

  • Prepare titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, scripts, and other content

  • Upload videos to the authorized YouTube channel

  • Schedule or publish authorized videos

  • Manage video metadata

  • Monitor the performance of published content

  • Improve the operation of the application's user-facing YouTube management features

Google and YouTube user data is not sold.

Google and YouTube user data is not used for advertising or unrelated marketing purposes.

4. AI Processing and Third-Party Services

MillsGuild YouTube Assistant may use third-party services to perform portions of its content-production workflow.

These services may include artificial-intelligence providers, text-generation services, text-to-speech services, stock-media providers, image-generation services, or other services configured by the application operator.

When a cloud-based AI service is enabled, limited prompts, channel-performance context, or information derived from the authorized user's content strategy may be transmitted to the selected service when necessary to provide the requested content-generation functionality.

We do not intentionally transmit Google passwords, Google login credentials, or Google OAuth authorization tokens to AI content providers.

Third-party services receive only the information reasonably necessary to provide the applicable feature.

5. Storage of Google and YouTube Data

MillsGuild YouTube Assistant is primarily operated on systems controlled by MillsGuild.

OAuth authorization tokens may be stored locally so that the application can continue performing functions that the authorized user has approved.

Authorized YouTube Analytics data and statistics may be retained when necessary to provide channel-performance and strategy features while the user's authorization remains active.

Other stored YouTube API data will be refreshed or deleted in accordance with applicable YouTube API Services policies.

We do not retain Google or YouTube user data indefinitely when it is no longer necessary to provide the application's authorized functionality.

6. OAuth Tokens

OAuth tokens issued by Google may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the application's authorized functionality.

OAuth tokens are used only for purposes consistent with the permissions granted by the user.

Users may revoke the application's access through their Google Account at any time.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell Google user data.

We do not provide Google or YouTube user data to data brokers.

We do not share Google or YouTube user data with third parties except:

  • When necessary to provide a feature requested or authorized by the user;

  • With service providers acting on our behalf where necessary to operate the application;

  • When required by applicable law; or

  • When the user has expressly authorized the disclosure.

Any use or transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect Google and YouTube user data against unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or destruction.

Authentication tokens and credentials should be maintained only on systems accessible to authorized operators.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Users may request deletion of Google or YouTube data stored by MillsGuild YouTube Assistant.

Upon a valid deletion request, applicable stored user data will be deleted as soon as reasonably possible and within the time required by YouTube API Services policies.

Revoking Google authorization prevents the application from making new authorized requests using that authorization.

Where required by YouTube API Services policies, stored API data will be deleted or refreshed when authorization expires or is revoked.

Deleting information stored by MillsGuild YouTube Assistant does not automatically delete information stored directly by YouTube. Content stored on YouTube must be deleted through YouTube or another authorized YouTube client with appropriate deletion functionality.

10. User Control

Users remain in control of their Google and YouTube accounts.

Users may revoke MillsGuild YouTube Assistant's access to their Google Account at any time through their Google Account's connected-app and permissions settings.

Revocation prevents future access through the revoked authorization.

11. Google Privacy Policy

MillsGuild YouTube Assistant uses Google and YouTube API Services.

Information processed directly by Google is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

12. YouTube Terms of Service

Use of YouTube through MillsGuild YouTube Assistant is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.

13. Google API Services User Data Policy

MillsGuild YouTube Assistant's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the application's functionality or data practices change.

If changes materially affect how Google or YouTube user data is accessed, used, stored, or shared, this policy will be updated before those new practices are implemented where required.

The current version will always be published on this page with its effective date.
